Domain Rank is a 0 to 100 authority score from a third-party backlink index, refreshed monthly. It uses the same scale as Ahrefs DR, but the two numbers won't match exactly. Last checked November 2026.

How to submit

  1. Check that the project is open source, has a first release more than four months old, is actively maintained and has working install instructions.
  2. In the awesome-selfhosted-data repo, create software/your-project.yml from the addition template, with a kebab-case file name.
  3. Fill in name, website, source code, description, license, platforms and tags; delete unused optional fields.
  4. Commit to a new branch and open the pull request, ticking the human-submission box in the template.
  5. Fix whatever the CI checks and maintainers report.

Watch out for

  • Pull requests go to the awesome-selfhosted-data repo, not the list repo.
  • The CONTRIBUTING file says AI agents must not open issues or PRs, or write entries for someone to submit; the person has to write and submit it.
  • Only open-source software that can be self-hosted qualifies, so a closed SaaS cannot be added.
  • Links on awesome-selfhosted.net carry no nofollow, while the GitHub README links are rendered nofollow.
